Role Overview

 

Teck Resources is seeking a Senior Change Specialist to join its Technology & Innovation business transformation initiative. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role for an exceptional practitioner who can operate autonomously from day one. You bring senior-level credibility with executive customers, deep hands-on delivery experience, and the interpersonal range to be both a strategic advisor and a collaborative teammate. Priority focus areas are change impact analysis; change strategy and communications planning; resistance management; adoption metrics and measurement

 

This Contract is for an initial 6 Month Term 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead end-to-end change management across sophisticated, multi-workstream transformation programs (people, process, and technology)
  • Conduct collaborator analysis and change impact assessments; develop and implement targeted action plans
  • Build and carry out comprehensive communications strategies tailored to diverse audiences at all levels
  • Drive resistance management and adoption metrics tracking; report progress to senior and executive collaborators
  • Facilitate workshops, feedback sessions, and engagement initiatives to build alignment and readiness
  • Provide leadership mentoring and advisory support to senior leaders navigating transformation
  • Translate technical concepts into plain, accessible language using an informal and approachable tone
  • Deliver or facilitate OCM-related training programs
  • Proactively identify and close gaps in change approach; continuously improve methodology
  • Adhere to and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in organizational change management, ideally in large-scale enterprise environments
  • University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering or a related field
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Validated experience leading change across ERP or large /IT transformation programs
  • Strong expertise across core OCM subject areas: interested party analysis, impact analysis, communications, resistance management, and user engagement indicators
  • Proven ability to engage and influence at the executive and senior leadership level
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify sophisticated technical content
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience working in fast-paced, time-sensitive settings managing several simultaneous projects
  • Strong facilitation skills; running sessions ranging from working groups to briefings
  • Ability to work optimally both independently and as part of a cooperative group
  • Approachable and collaborative working style
  • PROSCI Change Management certification
  • Experience in mining, utilities, energy, or a similar resource field
  • Background supporting culture change and design initiatives
  • Experience with geographically dispersed teams and cross-functional participant environments
  • Spanish language proficiency
