2. SCREENING
We want to get to know you better.
One of our skilled recruiters will contact you for a 30-45-minute phone or video interview to learn more about your skills, qualifications, and what you could potentially bring to the job. We may also invite you to complete online assessments to see how you think, solve problems, and if you have the specific skills needed for the job.
PRO TIP: This is also an opportunity for you to interview us; have some questions ready to understand the expectations of the role, our work culture, and what inspires us to come into work every day.
3. INTERVIEWING
Let’s meet the hiring team.
After you’ve successfully completed screening, you’ll be advanced to a video or in-person interview. Our team will focus on asking questions that will uncover the unique experience and value you would bring to the role and how closely your skills match the job. This is a great opportunity to ask your potential future colleagues what they enjoy about Teck and their day-to-day work.
FYI: Each job and hiring process is unique, so you may be invited to more than one interview.
4. PRE-HIRE CHECKS
Our due diligence.
Once you’ve successfully completed your interview(s), you will advance to our pre-employment checks, which may include:
- Identity verification
- References
- Medical
- Police & criminal records
- Education
- Credit
The checks vary based on job requirements and location to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
FYI: This process takes time, especially if you have international experience or if specialized medical testing is required.
5. OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT
