Reporting to the Manager, Operating System, the Project Coordinator will assist with the continual improvement, development and implementation of the procedural requirements for the Management Operating System (MOS) program at Teck. This role will also support the continuous improvement, quality and online knowledge functions related to this.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in administrative support for technical or project teams, with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will also be proficient in document control, information management, and business processes, as well as MS Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Coach project team members in established project procedures

Coordinate review and revisions of existing procedures, health checks, audits, project closeouts, and knowledge collection

Support and collaborate with Change Specialists to maintain MOS SharePoint sites

Coordinate and administer communications and meetings for MOS team and stakeholder meetings as required

Schedule and track progress of multiple activities for team members supporting various aspects of MOS, from implementation, drafting standards, training, and coaching

Prepare related procedures, templates, reports and presentations as required

Perform technical writing and maintain accurate documentation

Track document usage to ensure proper version control and accessibility

Liaise with external consultants, coordinate work as well as verify invoices and timesheets

Collect feedback from project teams and coordinate work activities to revise documents

Assist in project audits, compliance reviews and project close outs

Support project managers and directors on audits and procedures
Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in administrative support to technical or project personnel

A diploma or certificate in business administration or a related field

Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of document control and information management

Strong skills in the area of business processes and administration are essential

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Visio and SharePoint

Independent, self-motivated, able to take initiative to liaise with other departments and/or external sources

Previous experience in technical writing

Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities

Good critical and conceptual thinking skills

Comfortable facilitating meetings and routines with various stakeholders

Knowledge of the mining and or construction industry would be considered highly valuable

Salary Range: $73,000 - $90,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
