RACE Product Owner & Business Analysis Co-Op

Reporting to the Product Lead, Maintenance, the successful Co-Op will have an interest in bridging the gaps between business and technology. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the role of a Product Owner or a Business Analyst. Mining or natural resources processing knowledge is an asset but not required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate to research with the Product Owners using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
  • Supports data analysis, generate dashboards and reports, monitor critical metrics
  • Help evaluate and select the best commercial software and technology solutions
  • Develop solution documentation and help organizing webinars for training, updates, and solution roll outs to end users with varied backgrounds
  • Identify issues with our products, and propose resolutions to the Product Owners
  • Evaluate information gathered from various sources, reconcile differences, and translate high-level information
  • Help develop business cases and Proof-of-Concept for addressing business improvement initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • Interest in pursuing a career in Product Management or Business Analysis and/or in a complex business environment in the future
  • Preference will be given to students who have previous related co-op experience
  • Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment Experience working with Azure Devops and Scrum frameworks
