Role Overview

 

Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Business Systems, this co-op role is part of the Business Systems team in the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Projects group. The co-op will develop, enhance, and maintain Power Platform solutions (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) across test and production environments. The role will partner with business stakeholders to streamline and automate processes, manage application lifecycle changes, monitor performance and reliability, and troubleshoot issues to resolution. Additional responsibilities include documenting configurations, contributing to standards/governance for solutions, and proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and user experience gains.

If you are not currently located in the area of this co-op position, you must be willing to either commute or relocate to the surrounding area for the entire duration of the co-op term. You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Assist digital makers with their Power Platform products (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Power Pages)
  • Identify areas and processes where Power Platform and Microsoft 365 can be built and implemented for process improvement
  • Develop low-code applications and automate business processes with Power Apps and Power Automate. You'll connect disparate systems to Power Platform applications using various connectors
  • Continue evaluation of end-user adoption and collaborate with multi-functional technology and design teams
  • Maintain consistent and positive client interaction, and deliver timely solutions

Qualifications

 

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Experience with coding, whether low-code or traditional
  • Previous experience with customer management and business analysis is preferred
  • Proficient communicator with strength in collaboration and relationship building
  • Ability to maintain a balanced, inclusive, and safe workplace, with integrity, and accountability
  • Demonstrable experience with business process redesign, including development of as-is and to-be states, including process diagrams and use of process diagram tools such as Visio

Pay Range: CAD $4,108 - $5,183 per month

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
