Reporting to the Program Manager, Operating System, the Manager, Project Management Office is responsible for managing the Management Operating System (MOS) transformation program including risk management, financial management, transformation reporting, project controls and project interdependencies to ensure cohesive implementation of initiatives between MOS and functional workstreams.

Responsibilities

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Assist in the creation and governance of an enterprise-wide transformation program including setting standards and processes. Support strategic priorities, applying established methodologies, processes, and tools, ensuring fit with long-term business objectives, resource availability, and risk factors
  • Support the Program Manager in leading all aspects of the program’s scope and guide decision-making on changes that affect resources, timelines, and overall project trajectory. Drive resource allocation decisions that support strategic alignment and efficiency across multiple workstreams
  • Proactively manage and mitigate transformation risks at a strategic level. Apply risk management frameworks to assess potential impacts on the overall business and implement mitigation strategies to secure successful outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and management of a multimillion-dollar program budget. Ensure that all financial resources are allocated with rigor, transparency, and in alignment with enterprise-wide financial goals and strategic priorities
  • Support the Program Manager as a leadership liaison, delivering regular, high-impact performance and risk updates to the site and operations leadership team. Produce actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure the MOS program meets its milestones and delivers long-term value
  • Ensure project controls are in place, consistently applied, and in full compliance with corporate governance. Lead audits and control reviews to ensure operational excellence and risk mitigation throughout the transformation journey
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders within the central MOS team to ensure seamless coordination, integration and that project planning and controls are implemented in alignment to the MOS program roadmap
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Provide mentorship and support to project teams in identifying and mitigating risks at the program level
  • Lead and mentor a high-performance team and provide strategic direction, oversight and coaching

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project planning and controls with a track record of leading large-scale transformation programs that align with corporate strategy
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification preferred
  • Excellent understanding of portfolio management principles to ensure all initiatives contribute to sustainable business growth with ability to develop and implement a strategic transformation roadmap that aligns with long-term objectives
  • Strong proficiency in financial management and portfolio budgeting, including forecasting, resource allocation, and performance-based budgeting along with financial optimization and risk control of multimillion-dollar budgets
  • Adept at using advanced analytics tools and methodologies to craft actionable insights and performance reports that enable data-driven decision-making across the executive team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver sophisticated information clearly and concisely to senior management

  • Transformation Management Leadership: Validated expertise in steering large-scale transformation initiatives. Mastery of industry-standard methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI, and Lean, applied to enterprise transformations involving multiple programs and geographies
  • Strategic Vision & Execution: A strong grasp of portfolio management principles to ensure all initiatives contribute to sustainable business growth
  • Enterprise Risk Mitigation: Advanced capability in risk identification and mitigation at the portfolio level, ensuring all potential challenges are addressed before impacting the transformation’s success

Salary Range: $135,000 - $167,000

 

 

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
