About our Vancouver Office
Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains, Teck’s Corporate Office sits in one of Canada’s most culturally diverse cities.
Surrounded by world-renowned nature and globally inspired cuisine, the office brings together many of Teck’s corporate functions - all working toward Teck’s purpose of providing the essential resources the world relies on.
Role Overview
The Integration Change Management Specialist is an experienced team leader with a proven record in driving successful change in large-scale change programs. Embedded in the functional integration planning teams along with functional leadership, culture and communications support, the successful candidate translates enterprise-level change strategy into tangible, function-specific action - assessing change impacts, supporting leaders, enabling teams, collecting and amplifying employee feedback, and driving integration readiness from the inside out.
The role is accountable for embedding structured change management within their assigned function, enabling the function’s people to navigate, adopt, and sustain the changes required by the integration.
This role is anticipated to be a 12-month assignment initially.
Key Responsibilities
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a functional change plan that translates change, communication and engagement of enterprise frameworks and heatmaps into specific, prioritized interventions for the function’s employee population.
• Identify and raise instances where multiple significant changes land on the same employee population simultaneously and propose mitigation sequencing.
• Support the function in completing integration submissions, including readiness evidence, and change management deliverables at each program's submission milestone.
• Coach and enable functional leaders to communicate change confidently and consistently, role-model target culture behaviours, act as visible change sponsors, and prepare for key change moments through toolkits, messaging, Q&A preparation, and facilitation support.
• Identify change champions across the function; support their onboarding, ongoing enablement, and integration into the enterprise change champion network.
• Assess and monitor functional change readiness through surveys, assessments, and listening activities.
• Identify and flag individuals or teams showing signs of change fatigue and work with functional leaders and Human Resources to develop targeted support interventions.
• Cascade and embed the Anglo Teck purpose, values, and target culture through function-level culture activation initiatives, shared experiences, and recognition of integration successes.
• Provide functional change updates, raise risks, and receive enterprise change management mentorship, tools, and templates for use within the function.
• Contribute to pulse check feedback cycles, completing functional-level change feedback in alignment with the change, communication and engagement monitoring framework and escalating critical issues promptly.
• Coordinate with the Internal Communications workstream to ensure functional communications are timed, accurate, and aligned with the enterprise communications plan.
Qualifications
• Degree in Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in change management or organisational development.
• Minimum 10 years' experience leading teams and/or complex change initiatives within HR, Finance, Technology, Supply Chain, Health & Safety, Sustainability, or related functions.
• Accreditation in a recognised change management methodology is desirable.
• Knowledge of change management frameworks, models, and tools (including change impact assessment, stakeholder mapping, readiness assessment, and intervention design)
• Understanding of the human dimensions of organisational change - including common change reactions, resistance patterns, the emotional journey of change, and factors that drive or hinder adoption.
• Familiarity with engagement and listening tools (pulse surveys, focus groups, structured feedback mechanisms) and how to use data to inform change interventions.
• Advanced in coaching leaders and managers on change leadership behaviour.
• Proficient in designing and delivering change impact assessments across complex change programs; synthesizing outputs into prioritised intervention plans.
• Proficient in stakeholder mapping and engagement planning; identifying key influencers, resistance sources, and high-impact audiences.
• Proficient in developing written communication materials, including leader talking points, team briefings, FAQs, and cascade templates adapted to functional audience and tone.
• Proficient in analysing and synthesising qualitative and quantitative feedback into actionable insights and concise reporting.
