Infrastructure and Environments Lead - SAP Basis

Reporting to the Manager, Technology, ERP, the Infrastructure & Environment (BASIS) Lead is responsible for handling the infrastructure and environment vital to develop, test, and deploy solutions to production for the duration of ERP design and implementation. This individual will complete the infrastructure strategy and environment setup for the SAP S4/HANA ERP system to meet business needs and ensure integration plans are aligned with our infrastructure capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Lead all aspects of the approach, design, stand-up, and maintenance of infrastructure and environments in SAP to support the development, testing, and deployment to production, coordinating with vital SAP resources (since SAP S/4HANA will be a cloud-hosted service)
- Continuously assess and optimize infrastructure performance, including hardware, software, and network components, ensuring efficient operation of the ERP system and the connection of Teck’s infrastructure to the hosted SAP environment(s)
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and data integrity in case of system failures or other disruptions
- Enable procurement and setup of infrastructure components, including cloud spaces and network infrastructure
- Lead and handle the development and implementation of a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with the SAP ERP project
- Develop and coordinate the budget for infrastructure and environments, ensuring efficient solutions without compromising quality or performance
- Partner with the Transformation Management Office to align infrastructure initiatives with overall transformation goals and timelines
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technology, business and project teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of the ERP system
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in computer or applied science, business, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of dynamic experience in SAP BASIS roles with previous experience leading technical teams
- In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA infrastructure standard methodologies and requirements, including hardware, software, and network configurations
- Works successfully with multi-functional (owner and systems integrator) teams and partners, encouraging a collaborative, harmonious and inclusive environment
- Ability to optimally work on cross owner-systems integration teams
- Proficient in leading complex projects including timeline, resource, and budget management
- Skilled in crafting, implementing, and maintaining development testing and production environments
- Experience coordinating with development, testing, deployment and data migration/cutover teams
- Skilled in supervising and optimizing system performance to ensure efficient operation
- Capable of developing long-term infrastructure strategies that align with enterprise-wide transformation goals
- Adept at identifying potential issues and developing proactive solutions to mitigate risks
- Flexible and able to adjust strategies and plans in response to evolving project needs and challenges
- Driven and focused on achieving project goals and delivering value to the organization

Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
