Role Overview
Reporting to the ERP Infrastructure & Environment (BASIS) Lead, the Infrastructure & Environment (BASIS) Analyst is responsible for supporting the management of the infrastructure and environments necessary for development, testing, and deployment of solutions to production for the duration of ERP design and implementation.
The successful candidate will support the execution of the infrastructure strategy and environment setup for the SAP S4/HANA ERP system to meet business needs and ensure integration plans are aligned with infrastructure capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Support the approach, design, stand-up, and maintenance of infrastructure and environments for SAP to support development, testing, and deployment to production, coordinating with SAP resources as necessary (since SAP S/4HANA will be a cloud-hosted service).
- Continuously monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, including hardware, software, and network components, to ensure efficient operation of the ERP system and the connection of Teck's infrastructure to the hosted SAP environment(s).
- Support the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and data integrity in case of system failures or other disruptions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with the SAP ERP project.
- Support effective communication and collaboration between technology, business and project teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the ERP system.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and logs to ensure optimal operation
- Perform routine system administration tasks such as user management, role assignments, and client copies
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and kernel updates
- Monitor and resolve basic system issues and escalate complex problems to senior team members
- Help maintain system documentation, procedures, and runbooks
- Perform regular system health checks, backups, and validation tasks
- Support security and compliance activities, including access controls and audits
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to troubleshoot issues
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA infrastructure best practices and requirements, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows)
- Works effectively with cross-functional (owner and systems integrator) teams and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative, cooperative and inclusive environment.
- Ability to effectively work on cross owner-systems integration teams.
- Proficiency in contributing to complex projects, including adherence to timeline, resource, and budget considerations.
- Skilled in supporting the design, implementation and maintenance of development, testing, and production environments.
- Experience working alongside development, testing, deployment and data migration/cutover teams.
- Skills in monitoring and optimizing system performance to ensure efficient operation.
- Capable of contributing to long-term infrastructure strategies that align with enterprise-wide transformation goals.
- Skilled in working with cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
- Adept at identifying potential issues and escalating or developing proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
- Flexible and able to adjust approaches and plans in response to evolving project needs and challenges.
- Results-driven, focused on supporting project goals and delivering value to the organization.
- Clearly and effectively communicates technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, pays close attention to the intricacies of technical implementation, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Pay Range: CAD $76,000 - $94,000 per year
