Global Process Owner - RTR / SAP Finance Transformation Leader

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Global Process Owner (GPO), Record to Report (R2R), to lead the transformation of our global finance processes. This pivotal role is central to our Finance Transformation journey, encompassing the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, end-to-end process redesign, and the evolution of the Finance function to support a modern, data- and process-driven enterprise.

 

Reporting to the Director, Finance Systems & Processes, the GPO for R2R will lead the design, harmonization, and enhancement of related processes across the enterprise. In close collaboration with cross-functional teams and regional finance leaders, this role will ensure cohesive alignment of systems, policies, and operational practices.

Responsibilities

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Lead the global R2R process design as part of the SAP S/4HANA implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
  • Define and maintain the process blueprint, covering full-cycle activities including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Reporting, and Close.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of R2R processes across regions and business units.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Transformation teams to ensure effective deployment and adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Establish and oversee KPIs to monitor performance and identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Act as a change champion for the R2R transformation, engaging stakeholders and driving enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Drive the evolution of the Finance function by contributing to the development of future-state operating models and core capabilities.

Qualifications

 

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with an MBA or a degree in Management Information Systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance leadership with a validated focus on SAP Record to Report processes.
  • Validated experience as a Global Process Owner or Finance Transformational Lead in a large, complex organization, preferably in the mining or other natural resource extraction industries.
  • Extensive experience with process improvement and documentation with a transformational mindset.
  • Strong user knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and experience leading sophisticated ERP implementations.
  • Validated experience in process- and data-led organizations, including familiarity with the governance frameworks that support them.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading large teams, coaching and mentoring staff through day-to-day activities and career development.

Salary Range: CAD $160,000 - $200,000

 

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
