Reporting to the Global Process Owner, Source to Pay, the Global Data Owner (GDO), Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the Supply domain and across the organization. This includes enforcing data governance principles, policies, standards, processes, and procedures globally, while also ensuring alignment with the functional owners, other Global Process Owners and other Global Data Owners for implementing data quality requirements.
This outstanding candidate will establish data standards and data quality measures across the supply chain processes for all of Teck. Supply chain data includes vendor master, item master, and material master for SAP alongside transactional data recorded as a part of global Source to Pay processes. It will support other global data owners, specifically in Finance and Enterprise Asset Management, to ensure alignment and clarity of impact across the entirety of Teck’s data strategy and landscape.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance policies, and organizational standards through regular audits to maintain integrity, quality and security for all business process transactions, reporting, and analytics
- Support data standardization assets including organizational change aspects and data expertise
- Coordinate data lifecycle management, including data creation, maintenance, and deletion to support business processes, ensuring continuous improvement to changing needs
- Supervise data and manage quality metrics, focusing on accuracy, completeness and consistency while identifying and resolving data issues promptly
- Ensure data is managed effectively to support measurement of enterprise performance management outcomes via descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, enabling the organization to position itself within the top quartile Total Shareholder Return (TSR)
- Partner with business owners, functional teams, GPOs and other GDOs to manage operational dependencies to ensure cohesion across the company
- Collaborate with business analysts and other functional owners to ensure master data supports business processes, decision-making, and broader service outcomes
- Engage with multi-functional teams to support data initiatives and projects, such as minimizing silos and improving integration
- Proactively identify risks and implement controls to mitigate them
- Drive process-related change initiatives in alignment with transformation goals
- Educate and train teams on standard practices, serving as a valuable source for information on process management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Data Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience with the related business processes and data. Previous experience in data management or data governance preferred
- Proficiency in data management, governance, privacy, and security principles
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and tact. Ability to handle confidential information to align with PIPA, PIPEDA, and other regional privacy laws
- Experience working in an international organization, supporting executive-level decision-making and building collaborative relationships to drive integration and adoption
- Solid understanding of the data domain, with diligence on accuracy and quality
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design relevant to the business context
- Ability to analyze data and apply critical thinking to resolve issues and suggest solutions and improvements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and prioritize numerous tasks and projects
- Ability to assess sophisticated business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions for improvement
- Clear communication and influencing skills including strong conflict resolution skills between leaders, business owners and functional teams
- Ability to align data architecture design with strategic objectives while ensuring operational efficiency at a global scale
- Ability to support cross-organizational initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Salary Range: $119,000 - $147,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
