The business units are supported by enterprise-wide functions that set strategic direction, establish standards and provide governance, as well as supporting the business through shared services, centres of excellence and business partnering.
Reporting to the VP, Transformation, the Director, Enterprise Performance Management will establish, manage, and continuously improve Teck's enterprise performance management framework. The role will provide actionable insights and enable informed decision making in pursuit of Teck's Strategy and top quartile TSR.
The Director will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Management Team (SMT) to understand and document the business outcomes we aim to achieve and the KPIs critical to tracking our performance. This role does not "own" these outcomes but collaborates with senior leaders to ensure alignment, focus and transparency and then cascades objectives in increasing levels of granularity to ensure objectives are aligned through all facets of transformation. By ensuring clear business objectives and KPIs, this role will provide critical input to determining transformation scope, process improvement objectives, and enterprise performance management
Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures

Influence strategic decisions regarding the enterprise operating model by cascading strategic priorities to program objectives. Endorse or challenge transformation scope based on strategic priority

Collaborate with various Transformation teams, including the Transformation Management Office (TMO), the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team, and the Enterprise Operating Model (EOM) team, to develop and execute specific plans. Work with other functional leads to identify cross-functional initiatives

Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive performance management framework and governance structure. Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the organization's strategic objectives and the TSR value driver tree

Define leading and lagging KPIs for various enterprise functions, ensuring they are meaningful indicators of performance and progress against strategic goals and business objectives

Steward the execution of transformation programs in alignment with performance management metrics. Proactively ensure that transformation programs achieve the desired business outcomes per Teck’s strategy

Oversee the collection, integration, and analysis of performance data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity

Establish standards for data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization

Produce reporting that provide actionable insights on transformation portfolio benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in business, engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA would be an asset

Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in project management or business transformation with advanced knowledge of the industry required

Experience and expertise in designing and implementing performance management systems within complex organizations

Deep knowledge of performance management frameworks, KPIs, and strategic best practices in performance management

Expertise in data analytics, visualization, and reporting, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner. Experience with business analysis tools, ERP systems, and process modeling software

Ability to align performance management with the organization’s strategic goals and translate this into actionable KPIs and metrics

Ability to identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies

Strong ability to work across functional and geographical boundaries, building collaborative relationships and networks that drive long-term value

Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, business owners, functional heads, and data teams

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and empower a multi-disciplinary team

Knowledge of change management principles and practices to support transition efforts. Able to manage resistance and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making

Expertise in identifying and implementing process improvements based on performance data

Salary Range: $172,000 - $213,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
