Cloud Infrastructure Developer (Azure and On-Prem)

Reporting to TDS QA Lead, Senior QA Specialist is responsible for carrying out Quality Assurance practices and contributing to practices evolution. 

 

The incumbent would be a member of TDS QA team, working with various teams that build and run products and platforms to support business domains such as Health and Safety, HR, Finance, Exploration, etc.

 

The ideal candidate will be a driven, hard-working team player that can optimally communicate and work across multiple teams, develop effective relationships with partners in order to support Quality Assurance practice that delivers the highest possible business value. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Consulting and working very closely with various business stakeholders to design the overall technological design on the solution based on predefined standards
  • Deliver and support complex built-as-code infrastructure solutions
  • Identify opportunities for automation using a combination of scripting and custom development
  • Maintenance and monitoring of on-prem and cloud applications
  • Identify opportunities and best practices for migrating legacy applications to the cloud
  • Deploy, support, and optimize highly scalable, fault tolerant cloud solutions in support of application development and application migration projects
  • Optimize new and already provisioned solutions for availability, scalability, security and cost
  • Deliver re-usable, flexible, built-as-code infrastructure solutions
  • Drive adoption of validated solution templates across the organization
  • Challenge the status quo and seek new and better ways of solving technical problems


Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems administration, extensive automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • 3-5 years of Windows Server systems administration
  • 2-3 years of Linux administration
  • Demonstrated competency with PowerShell scripting and understanding of .NET framework (able to read code)
  • 1 year of experience with Terraform IaC (preferred) or Ansible
  • Previous experience with maintaining and monitoring applications hosted locally that will be migrated to Azure cloud in the future
  • Experience in an Agile/DevOps environment, CI/CD and application lifecycle management
  • Strong understanding of Azure DevOps, pipelines and backlogs
  • Strong coding and scripting skills, comfortable working in version control systems
  • Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units Agile Experience
  • Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog
  • Excited about trying new solutions outside standard approved
  • Be a team member as part of technical customer engagements
  • Excellent problem solving skills in resolving issues with complex systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • High energy and passionate individual who is inspired to reach maximum potential
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within a distributed team as well as other departments at all levels of the organization
  • Embraces a culture of trust and complete transparency
