Reporting to the Manager of Technology, as our Cloud Developer - RACE21™ you work closely with the digital team members to help increase the speed of delivery, improve quality of codes, and optimize processes. You will be responsible for understanding the bottlenecks of various processes, working with digital members to improve them, and improving the experience of developers overall. You will orchestrate the cloud infrastructure, control access to cloud resources, and allow for scalability of solution. Last but not least you control security at the infrastructure level and configure all continuous integration and continuous deployment code pipelines.

 

There are multiple positions for Cloud Developer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Works closely with Technical Leads and developers of various teams to assess existing problems and to determine process improvement solutions
  • Identifies bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes
  • Participates in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
  • Executes on plan by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization
  • Surveys developers and technical members of the organization to understand their main pain points in the coding and development process
  • Collaborates with the rest of DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solution to the organization

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of programming experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Experience with cloud administration in a DevOps environment
  • Working knowledge of two or more programming languages and scripting with Shell (Bash), Python, Perl, etc.
  • Hands- on expertise of automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, GCP Deployment Manager.
  • Experience in one or many cloud environments (GCP or Azure is a plus)
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TravisCI, and Spinnaker
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of two or more programming languages
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with frequent, incremental code, testing
  • Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging / disruptive technologies
  • Brings a high energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them
  • Believes in culture of brutal transparency and trust
  • Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset
  • Passion for innovation and “can do” attitude
