Role Overview
Collaborating with the Manager, Business Partner, the Business Analyst, Business Partner Services supports Business Partners and business collaborators through technology demand management, intake, prioritization, and governance processes.
Support Business Partners across Operations, Corporate Functions, and regional business areas by providing analysis, coordination, reporting, and governance support.
Working closely with Business Partners, business collaborators, and Digital Systems teams, this role assists with the gathering and evaluation of technology requests, coordination of governance activities, and assembling information needed for planning and decision-making. The position also provides analytical, reporting, and documentation support to help initiatives progress from idea through intake and approval stages.
This is a contract position with a minimum term of one year, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Support technology demand intake and assessment activities by coordinating intake documentation, business justification materials, prioritization discussions, governance reviews (including architecture, cybersecurity, and data reviews), and status tracking through approval and intake stages.
- Assist in gathering, organizing, and summarizing business requirements and collaborator inputs during the early stages of initiative assessment.
- Support data collection, consolidation, and preparation of Quarterly Business Reviews, leadership updates, and other business reporting materials.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with collaborators across Latin America and North America.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Coordination, Portfolio Support, Business Operations, Technology Services, or an equivalent position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively with business and technical collaborators and preparing clear documentation, presentations, reports, and partner communications.
- Experience supporting technology intake, governance, portfolio, planning, and reporting activities, including gathering and analyzing information to support prioritization, decision-making, and business reporting.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office, Power BI, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar business and technology platforms.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in mining, natural resources, industrial operations, or other sophisticated operational environments would be considered an asset.
