Teck is looking for an experienced Utility Coordinator to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Superintendent, Utilities, the Utility Coordinator is accountable for the execution of piping and mechanical maintenance requirements and betterments pertaining to utilities within Trail Operations.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Schedule’s piping and mechanical work using Maintenance Management System practices (workflow processes, planning and scheduling) and coordinating with Operational needs; communicating the schedule using standard formats
- Monitors schedule conformance, coordinates with applicable staff (operations and maintenance) and contractor crews to address schedule variances
- Review completed work schedules to ensure future schedules are updated
- Utilize standardized data, historical data or experience to develop and document hours and materials for standard job packages
- Ensure repair history is documented into Maintenance Management System for ongoing maintenance analysis
- Update the Maintenance Management System information (work orders, standard orders, equipment history, equipment specifications, preventive maintenance requirements, spare parts, etc.)
- Coordinates on-going planning requirements for the activity to ensure timeliness of maintenance demands
- Manage spare parts requirements for piping and mechanical maintenance utilizing standard processes
- Originate on-line requisition and pick lists of materials, spare parts and supplies as determined from prints, sketches, parts manuals, and work orders
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as it pertains to the scope of the job
- Participate with Frontline leaders in the development and implementation of Preventive Maintenance orders
- Participate in Preventive Maintenance audits to ensure standards, requirements and timelines are being met; perform document control for maintenance requirements
- Manages contractors as a qualified coordinator when required
Qualifications:
- Trade certificate, diploma or technical degree in a relevant field
- Two to four years of experience in a piping and mechanical utility maintenance role or similar experiences would be considered an asset
- Experience in Regulated Products through the BC Safety Authority would be considered an asset.
- Experience in a mining and/or maintenance industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
- Contractor management experience would be an asset

Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail, British Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered however there is no camp or company housing.
