Teck is looking for an Office Support Clerk, Electrolytic & Melting (Temporary) to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Operating Manager, Electrolytic and Melting, the Office Support Clerk, Electrolytic & Melting is responsible for maintaining and reporting on maintenance systems, perform shipping duties, maintaining and reporting on maintenance systems, and various office and clerical duties as assigned for the Electrolytic and Melting plants.
This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Utilize information from Toronto Sales SAP systems to prepare customs invoices and documents for USA zinc shipments by truck and by rail via CPR and BNSF
- Prepare daily production summary including variances, complete daily continuity to ensure accuracy of JDE system, notify Toronto Metal Sales of any inventory discrepancies and ensures balance
- Maintain all record requirements in support of E&M in all required ERP systems
- Input equipment readings into JDE to initiate PM orders
- Utilize maintenance order system to close orders, enter closing comments, locate orders in system, update PM Schedules accordingly, generate operations weekly preventative maintenance orders
- Create maintenance reports utilizing JDEdwards and Qlikview
- Process staff attendance into SAP
- Contact with brokers utilizing SAP to investigate and resolve custom invoices problems
- Process rebate forms; maintain petty cash fund and plant VISA charges
- Perform a variety of routine office support functions such as maintaining stationery supplies for both plants
- Record sulphate truck shipments from E&M
- Assists in maintaining E&M critical parts spreadsheet
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in JD Edwards, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook is required
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing work demands and fast-paced environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary Range: $36.10 /hr
