Requirements:

 

  • Participation in Teck’s health and safety programs to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day
  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment, with a willingness to work outdoors, and able to operate vehicles in various weather conditions and terrain
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels
  • Previous work experience in a technical or engineering environment is an asset
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite® of applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

 

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of Power Systems, including transformers, substations, and distribution equipment
  • Opportunity to expand maintenance and troubleshooting skills with electrical systems and equipment, such as AC andDC drives, Programmable Controllers , logic circuits and  Protection Relays
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to organize, schedule, manage costs, and monitor progress of projects
  • Ability to use basic features of AutoCad©
  • Interest in data analysis is an asset

 

All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work.

 

Successful candidates must be fully vaccinated against infection by COVID-19.
