Teck’s Trail Operations, located in the community of Trail in British Columbia, is one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern, British Columbia, Trail offers outdoor adventure at your fingertips. 

 

Role Overview

We looking for a motivated Class 1 or 3 Drivers at our Trail Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Prepare process materials, including hazardous materials, for processing or storage
  • Operate storage facilities and various mobile and ancillary equipment
  • Load, unload, move, mix, or transport equipment, materials, and supplies

Qualifications

  • Applicants must provide proof of WHMIS certification and completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Applicants require a Class 1 or 3 Drivers License with air brake endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial work experience and/or 1 year of post-secondary education is an asset 
  • Mechanical skills are essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work cohesively as a member of a small work team are essential to achieve success in these demanding roles
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in an assessment process designed to measure fitness, strength, aptitudes, analytical and problem-solving skills, cooperation, teamwork and personal attributes

 

Pay Range: CAD $44.01/hr

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
