Equipment Integrity Specialist


Trail, BC, CA

Reporting to the Sr Maintenance Engineer, the Equipment Integrity Specialist is accountable for providing mechanical support to Trail Operations as a member of the Leaching Technical Team. 


  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Participate in Asset Management activities including the development of small projects aimed at improving the service life of equipment or reducing the overall maintenance costs associated with an asset system
  • Support and develop scope of work documents for identified equipment repairs as well as managing any outsourced engineering design work, new and existing
  • Conduct routine inspections, assigned quality control tasks on focused equipment, and maintain asset management documentation
  • Troubleshoot problems as they occur, report conclusions, and recommend corrective or preventative tasks as required
  • Support technical investigations by providing input into the planning of experimental test work and supporting the execution
  • Collaborate and gather information across all areas of the business unit including but not limited to operations-, process-, maintenance, or other subject matter experts



  • A Red Seal Trade Certification, Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree in the field of mechanical engineering is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is required
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and familiar with problem solving methodologies (For example: 5-Why, Kepner Tregoe, Fishbone, Apollo or other)
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in mining, smelting, refining, or processing
  • Proficient with the following software: AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Projects, JDE
  • Supervisory and mentoring experience would be an advantage
  • Capable to adapt to changing work requirements or priorities
