Requirements

 

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Chemical, Process or Metallurgical Engineering
  • Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles, at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Accurate analysis and documentation of root cause analysis, strategies, and continuous improvement
  • Seeking ways to improve our process by collaborating with the engineering team and operations on new process development, plant process optimization, quality assurance initiatives, day-to-day troubleshooting and evaluation test work
  • Ensuring high quality of standards while conducting laboratory analysis
  • Experience in Project Management, able to organize, schedule and control the cost and track the status of projects relating to plant expansions, modifications and maintenance shutdown work
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
  • Participation in the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day

 

All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work.
