Facilities Analyst

Reporting to the Team Lead Facilities, the Facilities Analyst is responsible for managing the operational day-to-day activities for the data centers, server rooms, data closets, and any TDS-related facilities including HVAC, electrical loading, and environmental monitoring and maintenance.

 

Working with the Facilities Team, this role will also focus on establishment and documentation of standards for facilities design and build; delivery of any project & operational requirements; coordination of third-party vendors for execution of site work & maintenance; assemble & distribute bill-of-materials equipment orders; evaluate all sites for adherence to corporate standards; and ensure that maintenance schedules are carried out and documented.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Ensure all Data Center Equipment (Air Conditioning, UPS’s, PDU’s, Power Filtration Systems and Generators) is running correctly and error free
  • Ensure that all Server Rooms, Data Closets, Server and Network Racks are clear of debris and all wiring is kept neat and tidy
  • Manage vendors and scheduling; ensure all vendors accessing site complete site education and have approved EHSC and P2W
  • Ensure monitoring and alerting is set up for all devices in data centers, server rooms, data closets and any IS facilities including electrical and HVAC; Identify any devices that can’t be monitored
  • Work with the Facilities Lead to ensure that all data centers, server rooms, data closets and server racks are documented and placed into Teams for others to use
  • Provide weekly updates to the Team Lead Facilities
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to facilitate and coordinate data center, server room and data closet maintenance and manage the change control process
  • Maintain safety and security of all Data Centers

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years working in a datacenter environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of HVAC, Data Centre power (UPS and PDU) Data Centre best practices
