Job Summary:
Galore Creek Mining Corporation is seeking Utility Equipment Operators to work at the Galore Creek Project in northwestern British Columbia to support the field program planned for mid-April to late October 2023. Initially reporting to the Field Operations Supervisors, the Utility Equipment Operators are primarily responsible for supporting camp services, and technical studies throughout the site.
Overview:
Galore Creek currently operates two camps on the project site. One road accessible camp (~96 person capacity) and one helicopter supported camp (~131 person capacity).
The position is seasonal and will be camp based on a 15 days in, 13 days out schedule inclusive of travel. Rotation schedule may be subject to change as field planning evolves.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhering to the safety and sustainability culture on the common values of health, safety, environment and social responsibility shared by Teck and Newmont (the Partners)
- Operate mobile equipment (ie. Skidsteer, loaders, forklifts, etc) in a safe manner following GCMC’s environmental and safety guidelines.
- Perform support activities including labour and equipment operation in and around camps and along the project access infrastructure.
- Operate mobile equipment safely in close proximity of personnel, and in support of labour crews.
Qualifications:
- Certification for operation of mobile equipment including: Skidsteer, Loader, and Forklift.
- Certification and experience with other mobile equipment such as excavator, grader, lifts and rock trucks an asset.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Hold a valid driver’s license, non-restricted.
- Ability to work in challenging remote terrain, uneven surfaces, and all-weather conditions. Ability to lift 50lbs.
- High School diploma or better.
- WHMIS certification.
- Minimum 2 years’ mobile equipment operation experience.
