Role Overview

Collaborating with the Manager/Process Lead - Financial Systems Management, the Senior Analyst, Financial Accounting Systems will be a key Finance liaison in the sustainment of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role as Senior Analyst connects the Finance and information systems functions. It ensures accurate use, sustainment, and support of the ERP system.

 

In addition, this role is the point of contact for Finance end user support, which includes, identifying issues, supporting business processes, coordination of Finance and IT resources to analyze specific needs and resolve issues involving various Finance modules and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Provide timely support for Finance business application issues, resolving operational problems, escalating complex matters as needed, and tracking issues to ensure effective resolution.
  • Maintain and coordinate operational configurations for project resourcing, time reporting, and expense processes, partnering with business administrators and responding to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Support financial reporting and accounting processes, resolving application issues and/or errors. Investigate data and transaction discrepancies, resolve reporting access issues, and transfer knowledge to promote user self‑sufficiency.
  • Provide comprehensive Accounting and Finance support related to system functionality, including resolving reporting connection issues and investigating discrepancies in Finance transactions.
  • Support compliance and control objectives by ensuring financial processes and data enforce to internal policies and Accounting standards.
  • Review and propose user security changes with considerations for segregation of duties and prepare month‑end audit log reports.
  • Monitor, validate, and resolve system integration and workflow issues, including employee data integration errors, corporate credit card load discrepancies and adjustments, payroll integration errors, and daily workflow exceptions across connected systems.
  • Assist with sustainment/regression activities by performing functional testing, data validation, post‑implementation support, and validating report data tables in preparation for system improvements and version updates.

Qualifications

 

  • CPA candidate (CFE passed) or designated CPA with 1–2 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably within a Corporate Accounting function of a large organization.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or SAP S4/HANA, combined with advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with consolidation systems and Power BI is viewed as an advantage.
  • Experience working within Finance Systems or Information Systems teams is recognized as a positive attribute.
  • Demonstrable understanding of full‑cycle Accounting, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting and Reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data evaluation skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in business with an understanding of digitized, end‑to‑end Finance processes and transactional approaches.
  • Experience with or awareness of SOX compliance, internal controls, and control environments; exposure to improvements in execution is considered an asset.
  • Proven track record to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and consistently deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, systems, and business teams.
  • Demonstrates a strong eagerness to learn, adaptability, and comfort working in a continuously evolving environment.

 

Pay Range: CAD $93,000 - $115,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
