Reporting to the Supply Chain Coordinator, the Warehouse Yard Supervisor oversees the operation of the warehouse and related storage areas to ensure operating supplies, materials and equipment are available as needed

Responsibilities:

•    Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
•    Protect the safety and health of employees by promoting safe working procedures and health programs in accordance with Company policies and appropriate regulations.
•    The Warehouse Yard Supervisor is responsible for Airport Operations, Reagent Deliveries, Yard Deliveries, Fleet Management, Inventory Accuracy, Sealift Receiving, Inaccuracy Resolution, Weekly and Monthly Inspections, Cycle Counting, Material Picks and TPV’s, Yard and Pad Management.
•    Provide warehouse service at Red Dog operations to ensure operating supplies; materials and equipment are available as needed to maintain uninterrupted operating and maintenance requirements
•    Accurate and efficient month end inventory process including discrepancy reconciliation
•    Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the Warehouse personnel
•    Accountable for proper operation of equipment, employees are properly trained and that equipment uptime is maximized
•    Maintain an effective liaison with customers and suppliers to keep up-to-date customer needs and ensure prompt response by suppliers
•    Develop and implement improved methods of warehousing and materials handling by keeping up on the latest technical advances in these fields
•    Confirm employees are properly trained to carry out their specific tasks and duties
•    Ensure that all equipment and facilities utilized by the Materials department is maintained in good working order and is safe to operate
 

Qualifications:

•    High School diploma or equivalent 
•    Minimum ten (10) years experience in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Operations 
•    Three (3) years of lead-hand and or Supervisory experience
•    Experience in Mining or Heavy Industry environment
•    Strong computer proficiency in GenCID, Excel, Access and other Microsoft Office Products
•    Strong interpersonal skills – written & oral communication skills, ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
