Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Operations & Improvement, the Lead, Integrated Production (IProd) will be responsible for providing real time execution support to optimize production across the RDO value chain. This will be done through the delivery of the production plan (daily and shift plans) and the management of variance response that facilities and documents operational trade-offs and recovery scenario analysis. A core component of this is role is working with various teams across the value chain to bridge the gap between the execution and applicable planning functions in order to lead the core capabilities that fall under Integrated Production (Production Coordination, Production Metallurgy and Production Planning).
Responsibilities:
• Oversee development of the 24-hour plan and shift plans encompassing RDO's entire value chain and in alignment with the short-term planning time horizon
• Develop and manage a tactical plan that supports the shift plan and helps execution focus on the critical tactical elements of the shift plan
• Manage 24-hour and shift plan changes through the variance management process and ensure controllable causes for variances are mitigated or eliminated in future plans
• Manage schedule recovery scenario analysis and ensure lessons learned are incorporated in future planning cycles
• Support the Integrated Production team in providing recommendations to execution teams on operational decisions driven by trade-offs
• Ensure effective communication and feedback channels are in place with both operations and maintenance execution teams and applicable short and mid-term planning functions
• Oversee the delivery of reports and report governance across site, including upkeep of report catalogues and distribution lists and the delivery of regular reports with high data confidence
• Support the development of operating modes and targeted action response plans (TARP)
• Support the execution team with initiating and executing an operating mode shift
• Oversee the execution of continuous improvement initiatives for the Integrated Production team
• Oversee team development including assessment of team performance, professional development discussions, identification of learning and growth opportunities, and succession planning
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree (Mining, Metallurgical, Industrial, Geological, etc.) is required
• Minimum eight (8) years working in a mining environment with strong knowledge of mine/mill planning, scheduling, and the overall mine/mill operational environment
• Strong communicator, able to communicate with key stakeholders clearly and concisely
• Highly motivated team player with ability to develop strong relationships across multi operational disciplines
• Exhibit courageous leadership in providing guidance in a variety of situations and environments
• Efficiently work under high pressure situations and embed effective time management in execution of responsibilities
• Advanced software skills in MS Office, especially spreadsheet
• Knowledge of PowerBI and/or other data analytics platforms
