Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Journeyperson Electrician & Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities:

•    Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
•    Install and calibrate instruments used for measurement and control in production
•    Repair and maintain process control field instrumentation
•    Troubleshoot instrumentation devices
•    Apply factory acceptance testing and field inspections
•    Maintain master equipment list for Advanced Analytics work streams
•    Build a stock schedule and critical spares list
•    Maintain and apply design criteria specifications
•    Apply industry recognized standards
•    Collaborate with the advanced analytics team and the advanced process control engineer
•    Perform in a collaborative environment with various trades
•    Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
•    Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Must have completed an approved Instrumentation or electrical apprenticeship program or carry an electrical license or certification. Preference will be given to individuals who have completed a combined electrical and instrumentation apprenticeship
•    Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in Electrical/Instrumentation and controls design in mining, oil/gas, power or other industrial environment required
•    Current and valid driver’s license
•    Ability to tackle motor control circuits, understand electrical schematics and wire diagrams, install and calibrate flow, pressure and level meters, utilize electrical test equipment, and troubleshoot power generation
•    Experience with control systems, DCS, and PLC experience would be an asset
•    Experience in arctic environment preferred
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work independently or as part of a team
