Reporting to the Team Lead, Asset Integrity and Reliability, the Engineer – Asset Integrity is primarily accountable for analysis and improvement of Civil, Structural, and Mechanical assets to support the long-term health of the facilities.

 

Rotation schedule will be an even rotation 2 weeks on-site, 2 weeks off-site

Responsibilities:

  • Execute or develop asset integrity management plans for structures, tanks, pressure vessels, bridges, and other industrial infrastructure to ensure long-term performance and safety
  • Manage consultants and contractors to perform regular inspections and assessments to identify corrosion, cracking, deformation, thinning, or other forms of degradation
  • Analyze inspection data and conduct risk assessments to prioritize inspection, maintenance, and restoration activities and predict asset lifespan
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting; contribute to annual business planning aligned with asset strategies
  • Collaborate on developing technical scopes and business justifications for sustaining and special projects to maintain and enhance asset reliability throughout its lifecycle
  • Ensure all activities comply with local and national industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME, NACE, OSHA and AKOSH)
  • Update asset registers and documentation within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, performance dashboards, and decision-support tools as required
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication of asset management strategies and findings
  • Contribute to relevant continuous improvement and/or management operating systems initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
  • 8 years of experience in asset integrity management, preferably within an industrial setting
  • Strong technical background in structural/civil engineering, corrosion control, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
  • Standards and Codes: Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., API 653, ASME codes, NACE,ACI, ASCE and  AISC)
  • Professional engineering license is an advantage
  • Understanding of asset management principles, reliability engineering, or maintenance planning
  • Experience in a mining, industrial, or utility setting would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with CMMS, MS Office, Power BI, SQL or engineering software tools is a plus
  • Facilitation skills used to gather subject matter expertise and achieve consensus for strategy development and/or scope of work
