For this exciting position, we are specifically targeting students with an engineering background to support the Rebuild Team within the Central Asset Management group. Candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution for the full duration of the co-op term and plan to return to their studies upon completion for at least one academic term. If you are not currently located near the work location, you must be willing to commute or temporarily relocate for the duration of the term. A valid work permit will be required where applicable.
We are seeking engineering students to support the Rebuild Team within the Central Asset Management group. In this role, you will contribute to projects involving the rebuild of mobile mining assets to restore them to an as-new condition, as well as the assembly of new mining equipment.
This is a hands-on, project-focused opportunity to gain exposure to asset management, project controls, and data-driven decision-making within a leading Canadian mining organization. You will work closely with experienced professionals while developing practical engineering, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Assist in the creation of technical and project documentation
- Extract and analyze information from Maximo to monitor truck performance, work orders, purchase orders, and purchase requisitions as needed
- Conduct technical and economic risk analyses to support project decision-making
- Support the Project Lead and Coordinators with ad-hoc requests
- Support with QC documentation, feedback, and improvements
- Build visual dashboards for mobile equipment asset performance using Power BI. This includes gathering appropriate data and interpreting it to make meaningful observations
- Update and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports
- Support the development of project schedules and progress tracking of projects in MS Excel and MS Schedule
- Attend weekly project update meetings and technical meetings as needed. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring meeting minutes, action items, and lessons learned are captured and distributed as appropriate
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in an engineering field
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Basic understanding or curiosity about project controls, scope management, and quality management would be an asset
- Able to work collaboratively in diversified teams
- Experience in Power BI and Maximo will be considered an asset
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work on several tasks simultaneously
- Able to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
- Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way that a diverse audience would understand

Pay Range: CAD $4,833 - $6,125 per month
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
