Reporting to the Port Operations Coordinator, the Port Facility Supervisor supervises the maintenance requirements of all Port Site facilities.
The rotation schedule for this opportunity will be an even rotation, 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe, timely and cost-effective operation, service and maintain work though organizing, scheduling and assigning crews and equipment
• Minimize disruptions to concentrate storage and ship loading operations by responding quickly to unscheduled maintenance, emergencies and crew adjustments
• Measure the performance of the crew in achieving key Port operation targets such as safety, productivity, maintenance, costs, etc., and improve the effectiveness of the crew by communicating this information to direct reports and supervisors
• Administer company policies and ensure that procedures are implemented and followed consistently among Port personnel
• Support and assist in the administration, training and development of direct reports
• Measure the performance of direct reports in achieving key targets for safety and ensure that all employees know, understand and comply with current safety rules and policies
• Ensure that all Federal, State and company regulations/policies are understood and complied with
• The incumbent may be required to fill in at other positions as required
• Support Safety & Health, Employee Development and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor degree in a technical mining related discipline OR 15 years of field experience.
• Must have at least ten (10) years of heavy industrial maintenance, construction project management and planning
• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience with three (3) years full time supervision
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, with a willingness to train others
• Highly motivated team player, able to work closely with direct reports, peers and superiors
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Projects
• Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
• Will be required to obtain TWIC Certification and security awareness training
