Role Overview

Reporting to the Superintendent, Management Systems, the Management Systems Coordinator manages both the internal and external resources required to develop, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the Trail Operations learning management system to meet operational needs in alignment with CORE business objectives. The Management System Coordinator role supports operational excellence by developing excellent Operators and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules, procedures, and training programs.
  • Drive our established learning & development (L&D) best practices and standardized learning processes within assigned business area.
  • Ensure operational training needs are identified and met through the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Trail Ops learning management system.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and engaging learning materials as per Teck and Trail Ops instructional design standards.
  • Drive consistent use and administration of the People Central Learning module.
  • Leverage key training tools, including digital solutions, to support effective, high-quality learning experiences for employees.
  • Select, coach, develop and supervise Operator Instructors to ensure they utilize effective training and operational knowledge transfer methodology.
  • Actively gather stakeholder feedback and measure learning management system effectiveness to ensure that training (delivery and content) keeps pace with changing business needs.
  • Ensure that documented information, including learning history records, are managed for business area personnel.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a post-secondary diploma in adult education, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in an adult learning & development role.
  • Demonstrated personal leadership skills and a strong commitment to fostering a learning & development culture by engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer systems (SAP, EtQ, MS Office, Power BI, etc.) is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required; can develop and deliver presentations and instructional materials that meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience within a unionized work environment, with demonstrated knowledge of a Collective Agreement and associated Letters of Understanding, is an asset

 

Pay Range: CAD $105,000 - $130,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
