Reporting to the General Supervisor, Mine Maintenance, the Mine Maintenance Tire Shop Supervisor is accountable for assigning work, training, and supervising tire repair persons to ensure tire maintenance tasks are performed in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and regulations.
- Awareness of and compliance with Mine Act requirements.
- Measure the performance of your crew in achieving key targets such as safety, attendance, productivity, quality control, environmental compliance, and cost control.
- Connect with the General Supervisor, Mine Maintenance, to ensure that the tire repair persons are trained to meet all the requirements of safe work practices and productivity.
- Administer the collective agreement, safety and mine regulations and environmental regulations in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.
- Keep records of all aspects of tire maintenance performed and produce tire performance reports as required.
- Execute tire work schedule, assist with developing tire work standard operating procedures, annual budgeting, and forecasting requirement.
- Communicate with tire suppliers and manufacturers to maintain an adequate supply of new and repaired tires.
- Measure the performance of your crew in achieving key targets in safety and ensure that all employees know, understand and comply with all safety rules and policies and be held accountable for the safety performance and statistics generated through efforts.
Qualifications
- Completion of Gr.12 or equivalent.
- Possess a valid Mines Supervisor certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the tire service industry including commercial, industrial and OTR tire repair and maintenance.
- Familiar with the operation and functionality of tire pressure monitoring systems.
- Experience with the Tire Industry Association training program.
- Strong interpersonal, management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, energetic.
- Possess a valid driver’s license (minimum BC class 7N or equivalent).

Salary Range: CAD $106,000 - $131,000 per year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
