Reporting to the General Supervisor, Mine Planning & Scheduling, the Mine Maintenance Planner is a key team member in developing, supporting, managing and controlling all aspects of planned work identified for the Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Manage your planning area backlogs for accuracy and details required to properly advance the work through our planning process.
- Collaborate with tradespeople to review opportunities for improvements to future planned work.
- Develop detailed job scopes, which includes the required materials, labor, permits, engineered drawings, facilities, support equipment, special equipment and tooling, instructions, etc.
- Work closely with the Reliability team to ensure maintenance strategies are implemented as designed, and provide feedback for improvement opportunities;
- Support the implementation of maintenance strategies within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as outlined by the Reliability team
- Review completed work for feedback and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Execution team to create detailed work packages that will be catalogued as job plans / templates in our CMMS system.
- Verify material delivery and staging;
- Collaborate with our Supply Chain Management team to optimize material stocking levels.
- Perform other responsibilities as required or as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma along with a journeyperson’s ticket or post-secondary degree/diploma in a related engineering or technical discipline is preferred;
- Preference will also be given to candidates with previous supervisory, materials acquisition, planning or scheduling experience;
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite® and proficiency with the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo or Daxti. Training will be coordinated for our CMMS system, however previous experience would be an asset;
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to productively direct a team;
- Possess a high level of energy, be detail orientated, and willing to embrace change;
- Familiarity with the maintenance and work management processes is an asset;
- Demonstrates organizational, planning, and resourcing skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines is essential;

Salary Range: $105,000 - $129,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
