Reporting to the Superintendent, Operational HR, the Lead HR, Labour Relations is responsible for providing a broad range of human resource services to all departments on site. This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in front line employee/labor relations, workplace investigations, and various HR generalist activities. Location: Highland Valley Copper, Logan Lake area.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Oversee the implementation and execution of the contracting-out strategy to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.
- Actively engage in frontline employee and labor relations to align with overall strategic goals, fostering a positive and proactive employee relations environment.
- Build and maintain effective, trusting relationships with supervisors, union representatives, and employees by providing expert advice, guidance, and consultation on HR matters and performance management.
- Support the execution of key HR initiatives by offering accessible and responsive employee support while driving HR functional excellence and process improvements.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and administering human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with employees and leadership to promote Teck’s Purpose and Values while advancing diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Conduct investigations into bullying, harassment, human rights, ethics, and compliance complaints; provide recommendations and ensure timely implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform additional related duties as required to support organizational goals priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or other relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 7-10+ years of broad Human Resources experience with exposure to various aspects of the HR/employee lifecycle.Previous experience as direct front-line labor relations would be considered an asset
- Experience in or working knowledge of applicable employment and benefit laws and legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Strong initiative, judgement, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to operate with very high levels of integrity and confidentiality
- Demonstrates Teck’s commitment to safety and sustainability
- Professional HR designation such as CPHR (currently held or in progress) considered an asset

Salary Range: $117000.0 - $144000.0
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
