We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Lifting & Rigging Supervisor to oversee all lifting operations, crane activities, and rigging strategies on-site. This role provides strategic leadership to the planning and scheduling team, ensuring efficient execution, compliance with safety regulations, and alignment with project goals. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage critical lifts, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence. This is a key leadership position responsible for optimizing resources, enhancing safety performance, and delivering high-impact results across all lifting operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Manage day-to-day operations of cranes and rigging activities, including supervision of critical lifts, scoping jobs, and coordination with external crane contractors to ensure seamless and safe execution of lifting tasks.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Planning and Scheduling team for all lifting and rigging operations on-site, ensuring alignment with project goals, efficient resource allocation, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Drive operational excellence by developing and implementing strategies that enhance lifting and rigging standards, promote continuous improvement, and embrace innovation and adaptability in response to evolving business needs.
  • Foster a strong team culture by mentoring team members, overseeing personnel scheduling, and encouraging collaboration, accountability, and professional development across all lifting and rigging teams.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by collaborating with HSE teams, conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining up-to-date rigging training programs.
  • Oversee financial and resource planning, including budget development, expense monitoring, and optimization of resource utilization to maximize return on investment and meet performance targets.

 


Qualifications:

 

 

  • Valid Red Seal Crane Operator ticket 
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in lifting, rigging, and crane operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of complex or critical lifts, including working with external crane contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, resolve issues, and drive accountability.
  • Excellent digital literacy in Microsoft Office Suite® particularly in Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Salary Range:  $106,000 - $131,000.

 

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
