About Highland Valley Copper

  • Maintain, update and reconcile the mid-range geological block model to improve planning accuracy
  • Execute and manage QA/QC programs for RC and blast hole drilling data integrity
  • Provide geological inputs to improve blast fragmentation and ore characterization
  • Deliver tactical support for mining plans to help execute on business targets
  • Provide insights into processing continuous improvement initiatives while offering feedback to the continuous improvement team on identified variances
  • Provide input on key planning parameters while ensuring KPI analysis and supporting governance and continuous improvement of the integrated planning process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or Earth Sciences
  • Membership as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) or Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  • 5 years’ experience in grade control, ore control or production geology
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience with porphyry Cu–Mo deposits.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard geology and data management software (e.g., Leapfrog, Datamine, Vulcan, acQuire, or similar).
  • Attention to detail in geological logging, sampling and validation
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on data quality and operational value
  • Effective collaboration and communication across technical and operational teams
  • Adaptability in a dynamic, production-focused environment

Pay Range: CAD $107,000 - $132,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
