As a Change Specialist at Teck, you will play a pivotal role in supporting critical changes needed to fulfill Teck’s corporate strategy. You will work closely with leadership, following Teck’s OCM framework, demonstrating best practice while laser focused on the behavior’s needed to achieve the desired business objectives. Responsibilities:

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Strategy and Delivery: From strategy, to execution and measurement, this role requires a hands-on approach to handling change via our enterprise framework
  • Complex Change Oversight: Take ownership of complex and critical changes, ensuring that they are embedded into the business efficiently and optimally
  • Leadership and coaching: Coordinate, mentor, and provide support to Change Specialists and Change Agents, to ensure their success in inspiring change initiatives
  • Change planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to provide mentorship and support for change and manage capacity based on complexity and impact. This includes helping to define the change as well as implications of key decisions, goals, and objectives
  • Liaison with Corporate Teams: Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the Enterprise Change and Engagement team to align divisional efforts with company-wide change initiatives
  • Human-Centered Approach: Employ a human-centered mentor approach and act as a trusted advisor, guiding individuals and teams through the change process with empathy and understanding

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change management, with a minimum of 10+ years in a dedicated change role handling sophisticated change
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus
  • Strong proficiency in organizational change methodologies, agile frameworks and tools
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Proven experience in coaching, mentoring and strategic planning
  • Outstanding problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Being able to work independently with minimal direction, and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships
  • A passion for technology and a proactive approach in keeping up with industry trends
