Role Overview
Teck is looking for an experienced Digital Information Systems, Manager to join our team at our Trail Operations. Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Operations and Improvement, the Digital Information Systems, Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of digital systems initiatives at Trail Operations. This includes developing long-term roadmaps, aligning with Teck’s enterprise transformation goals, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative, standardized, and secure IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Manage and support ERP and other enterprise systems at Trail Operations, ensuring integration with Teck’s enterprise architecture and contributing to long-term application roadmaps
- Oversee the effective management of infrastructure assets and ensure cybersecurity practices—including risk management, access controls, and system protection—are in place to maintain secure and resilient digital environments
- Ensure IT activities are appropriately staffed and resourced. Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency
- Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, including training and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide responsive support to Trail Operations personnel, initiate system enhancements, and maintain effective communication to improve performance and stay aligned with ongoing projects
- Develop IT staff through performance evaluations, training plans, succession planning, and resource recommendations. \
- Promote the adoption of secure, standardized IT technologies and best practices across Trail Operations
- Ensure robust data governance, including master data management, data quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory standards. Oversee disaster recovery planning to ensure readiness and resilience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology related discipline, or Commerce/ Business with a focus on Management Information Systems is required
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing digital information systems, technology or services functions is required
- Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven leadership in systems implementation, process re-engineering, and continuous improvement, with experience in organizational change management and delivering pragmatic, solutions-focused enhancements across digital platforms
- Expert in systems design, master data management, and quality assurance, with strong knowledge of the systems development lifecycleand data integrity monitoring to support scalable and reliable IT operations
- Customer-focused and supportive of end user
- Ability to communicate with others at many levels including front-line staff to senior management

Pay Range: CAD $147,000 - $182,000 per year
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
