Role Overview

Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Temporary Container Management Operator. Due to anticipated needs, we are currently recruiting for a career oriented individual to fill these roles.
 

Rotation will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site

Key Responsibilities

•    Operate heavy equipment which includes, but not limited to:
•    Hyster V1050, Forklifts, Tractor/Trailer, Medium Sized Vehicles, 966 loader
•    Collect, clean and inspect shipping containers
•    Maintain container database
•    Prepare items for southbound shipment
•    Promote high standards of housekeeping and safety
•    Work directly with team members during shipping season
•    Assist Logistics with barge administrative tasks
•    Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Valid and current Drivers License
•    Positive and safe work history
•    Basic computer skills
•    Previous equipment experience
•    Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
•    Must be service and team-oriented and exhibit sound judgement
•    Possess a high level of urgency to get work completed while keeping safety at the forefront
•    Able to work in a physically demanding environment
