Platform Solution Architect – Maximo

Reporting to the Platform Owner, RBS Enterprise Applications, the Platform Solution Architect is accountable for delivering architectural solutions for the specific RBS platform: Maximo enterprise asset management. You will enable the Platform Team to create scalable solutions that considers future architectural changes and design elements to support the RBS Value Streams/Products.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Responsible for application/technical architecture and design standards; promoting best practice across the RBS Platform
  • Lead Business/Functional Analysts and Developers to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that meet or exceed our Business Partners expectations
  • Lead requirement gathering to ensure the end-to-end business process is covered
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the development standards and processes
  • Ensure architectural principles and development standards are being followed
  • Ensure the design and projects meet stringent security standards and requirements
  • Lead and conduct design and code reviews as applicable
  • Provide impact analysis of changes to the platform, guides team on technology strategy
  • Work with Vendors and Professional Services to analyze, design and implement solutions for vendor products
  • Co-author actionable disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Provide a framework that focuses on innovation
  • Operate in a fast-paced evolving environment

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or other related fields
  • At least 10 years’ experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining solutions for Maximo 7.5.x+
  • 3-5 years' experience with solution design and architecture of Maximo platform for integration into complex enterprise environments
  • 5+ years' working with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
  • 7+ years' experience with designing Maximo workflows
  • 3-5 years' experience with enterprise cloud/SaaS applications
  • Experience with capital assets specifically for the mining industry is preferred but not required
  • Capability to facilitate solution design meetings along with advising Teck on best practices in developing and maintaining new and existing maintenance, work management, asset management, inventory management solutions and Supply Chain.
  • Requires an excellent understanding of Development Environment strategies to support ongoing Operations and parallel Project development
  • Experience installing, configuring and upgrading Maximo application instances.
  • Experience in developing complex solutions in Maximo.
  • At least 1+ year of MIF – Maximo Integration Framework knowledge
  • Working knowledge of IBM Cloud Solution concepts
  • Excellent understanding of Maximo Workflow
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment
  • Mining domain knowledge/experience is an asset
  • Ability to lead system integration design and implementation of designed solutions
  • Broad knowledge of evolving technologies and their possible application to Teck EAM business problems
