Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Architecture, the Enterprise Architect will enable business strategy and influence technology direction to support Teck Resource’s journey to become one of the world’s leading providers of energy transition metals. This outstanding candidate will be responsible for collaborating with technology partners to build strategic plans and key initiatives to support the corporate vision, mature key business capabilities and drive continuous improvement. This motivated candidate will have experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables, articulating future state vision and an ability to optimally govern technology portfolio modernization! This role will further collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and external vendors to formalize strategic direction, define targeted business outcomes and deliver that tangible value in alignment with Teck’s goals.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Provide guidance in the development of strategies and future-state roadmaps to support key business objectives and capabilities
- Lead the progression of business capability maps and value streams
- Formulate and maintain business architecture assets, models, and frameworks
- Oversee the maintenance of partners' roadmaps to inform and prioritize investment planning
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to bridge gaps
- Provide mentorship and architecture review of cross-program and cross-project architecture strategies, opportunities, and problem resolution
- Align the technology portfolio to effectively support strategic business objectives, capability maturity plans and continuous improvement opportunities to ensure appropriate functional fit
- Oversee and provide recommendations for key technology investment decisions and direction in compliance with standards, principles, and goals
- Provide architecture leadership to foster the implementation of technology investments are aligned with company objectives, and risks are known and managed appropriately
- Mentor and support a Centre of Excellence for architecture to ensure practice standards and deliverables are practical, applicable, and adaptable across the community
- Conduct and lead strategy and planning workshops with technology and business partners to ensure the portfolio effectively evolves in adherence with future vision and goals
- Provide guidance and mentorship to architects and business analysts to promote effective technology planning and utilization
- Identify areas for improvement across all Architecture domains, and provide leadership to establish and actively participate in the Architecture Community of Practice
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in applied sciences (Engineering, Systems Design, Information Technology and Computer Science) or Business
- 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, with at least 3 years in a business architecture or business relationship manager role
- Proficiency in creating and analyzing business process models to understand and improve business operations
- Ability to design and integrate complex systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost-effective
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess complex systems, process and integrations and formulate actionable plans and effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical partners
- Shown ability to think strategically, build and maintain relationships with senior-level management and collaborate with team members

Salary Range: $132,000 - $163,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
