Reporting to Manager, Global Business Process Design, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for driving the analysis, design, and implementation of an enterprise-wide business process led operating model (EOM), ensuring alignment with strategic (blueprint) objectives, optimization of processes, and enabling effective decision-making across the organization. This outstanding individual will participate in project activities not limited to analysis and research of needs, gathering, documenting and updating business outcomes and conduct information gathering sessions!

Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Liaise with multi-functional teams, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of business needs and facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle

Analyze current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to align with the enterprise operating model. Design to-be processes for the enterprise

Use data-driven insights to support decision-making, ensuring that the EOM is based on accurate and relevant information

Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of business processes using BPMN, business requirements, and any changes made during the implementation phase

Identify potential risks and determine mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of the operating model

Enable global process owners to craft, measure and improve their processes. Collaborate with the organizational readiness to understand the requirements of roles and people as part of process implementation and management

Work with the EA and technology teams to relay process intent and requirements

Assist in transformation management efforts, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of the new operating model by providing training and support

Work closely with key partners to prioritize requirements and communicate different messages effectively to different audiences
Qualifications
-
Bachelors or post-graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or equivalent experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in analyzing, optimizing and detailing business processes, preferably using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)

Familiarity with Mining or Natural Resources industry is an asset, specifically in areas of mining, processing, asset management and operational processes

Project experience in complex environments, including multi-functional, international, or cross-organizational teams and partners across multiple locations

Experience working in Transformation teams. ERP project experience preferred

Awareness of business and enterprise architectural blueprinting preferred

Experience in using SAP’s Signavio Process Manager preferred (or a competitor process management tool suite)

Demonstrated experience with lean and sig sigma methodologies a bonus

Excellent analytical capabilities, problem-solving abilities and strong knowledge of business analysis techniques

Proficient with business analysis tools, ERP systems, and process modeling software

Systems level thinker able to drive integration between initiatives and the enterprise

Clear communication including strong conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to run multiple tasks, timelines, and work within the scope of the project

Ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights

Capacity to identify the right internal domain experts, influence senior partners and empower a multi-disciplinary team

Proficient in engaging with and handling collaborator expectations

Capability to identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
