Reporting to the Lead, RBS Releases, the Analyst is responsible for collaborating with Product, Platform and Practice Delivery Leads to coordinate and implement the release process across the company RBS program enabling the delivery of an ever-growing suite of capabilities and services. Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Coordinate across Product, Platform, and Practice teams to implement the release process according to the Centralized Release Calendar

Provide overarching management support to virtual cross-functional release teams to resolve dependency conflicts and ensure smooth delivery of releases

Generate end-to-end release communications to both internal and external partners pre, during, and post release

Perform release post-mortems and retrospectives to ensure successful release completion, learn from setbacks, and manage any post-release fixes

Maintain and enhance the release process documentation repository

Maintain an Environment Calendar and manage all environment activity

Handle conflicts on environment matrix usage and availability

Generate release deployment plan for review meetings, including definition and tracking of release achievements

Understand the business and facilitate communication with other program/project managers and partners efficiently and effectively

Direct, manage, and coordinate team members including other project managers, business and technology resources, user groups, consultants, contractors, and vendors

Ensure alignment between values and behaviors that fosters diversity and inclusion

Regularly connect work to Teck purpose, set aspirational goals, define expected outcomes, and ensure clear accountability

Assess any cross impacts with multi-platform application and vendor changes

Understand any interdependencies and potential conflicts between squads and releases

Identify release risks/issues and establish mitigation plans to resolve identified items

Ensure submission and approval of Change Requests for Change Authorization Board (CAB) meeting from all teams involved in a release

Prepare release fallback approach and ensure approach is certified by QA

Monitor release key performance indicators and provide status updates to Lead, RBS Releases

Function as a gate keeper to ensure all Production changes follow release and change governance

Continuously look for improvements in release and change process
Qualifications
-
5+ years’ experience in Release Management with deep understanding of the DevOps software release cycle

Demonstrated excellent leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams to ensure release plans are completed safely, on time, and on schedule

Project management experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills in driving appropriate and timely partner management
-
Demonstrate a high level of motivation, be detailed oriented, quick to learn, and the ability to implement with high quality and minimal supervision

Can learn from failure and tenaciously seek improvement in all areas of the release process
-
Excellent Analytical and critical thinking skills
