Coordinator, Training and Development

Reporting to the Administrator, Training and Development, the Coordinator, Training and Development is responsible for the training, development, and evaluation of employees.

 

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who loves to help others build skills and contribute to their success. Someone who is self-motivated, but collaborates well with a team, who can delivery training programs in a professional manner. You are someone with strong attention to detail, who is adaptable, and able to prioritize contending demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Conduct operator reviews to continually improve knowledge and skill set to ensure safe and productive performance
  • Schedule and deliver comprehensive training based on site requirements including: hands-on, computer based, classroom, and field work
  • Conduct safety training, such as confined space, fall arrest, rigging, hazardous energy isolation, light vehicle pit licensing, and regular recertification
  • Conduct operator focused training, such as forklift, rough terrain forklift, telehandler, aerial and scissor lifts, overhead crane, hiab, and regular recertification
  • Develop and modify Standard Practices and Procedures in accordance with site standards and practices
  • Assist with the development of all systems and documentation pertinent to the site’s training requirements
  • Analyze training practices and data in order to provide continuous improvement in safety and efficiencies
  • Keep up to date with regulations by completing ongoing training

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years' experience in an industrial environment combined with a broad scope of experience
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite®
