Reporting to the Supply Chain Coordinator, the Warehouse Floor Supervisor oversees the operation of the warehouse and related storage areas to ensure operating supplies, materials and equipment are available as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Protect the safety and health of employees by promoting safe working procedures and health programs in accordance with Company policies and appropriate regulations
• Responsible for Air Freight Receiving, Inaccuracy Resolution Outbound Shipping, CAA Management, Weekly and Monthly Inspections, Cycle Counting, Material Picks and TPV’s, Warehouse Housekeeping
• Provide a warehousing service at Red Dog operations to ensure operating supplies; materials and equipment are available as needed to maintain uninterrupted operating and maintenance requirements.
• Accountable for the accuracy and efficiency of the month end inventory process including discrepancy reconciliation
• Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the Warehouse personnel
• Accountable for proper operation of equipment, employees are properly trained and that equipment uptime is maximized
• Maintain an effective liaison with customers and suppliers to keep up to date customer needs and ensure prompt response by suppliers
• Develop and implement improved methods of warehousing and materials handling by keeping up on the latest technical advances in these fields
• Confirm employees are properly trained to carry out their specific tasks and duties
• Ensure that all equipment and facilities utilized by the Materials dept is maintained in good working order and is safe to operate
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Operations
• Three (3) years of lead-hand and or Supervisory experience
• Experience in Mining or Heavy Industry environment
• Strong computer proficiency in GenCID, Excel, Access and other Microsoft Office Products
• Strong interpersonal skills – written & oral communication skills, ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
