Reporting to the Port Operations Coordinator, the Port Facility Planner provides comprehensive and thorough maintenance job plans that facilitate the safe and effective execution of maintenance and project work. 

Responsibilities:

•    Conduct field investigations to determine how the job will be done and what materials, tools and labor will be needed
•    Schedule the maintenance work orders and establish the general nature and timing of the jo.
•    Ensure that costs are controlled and develop long-term maintenance programs by providing cost analysis and equipment performance. Continually monitoring the service life cycle process
•    Improve efficiency by analyzing performance and equipment history by implementing recommendations and assisting with technical problems through coordination and management of change
•    Ensure the accuracy of maintenance work orders and effective documentation through review and auditing of the criteria required for a planned MWO and the work approval process
•    Work closely with and supports the Port Facility and Operations supervisors and the Port Operations Coordinator
•    Support the Maintenance trades development and mentorship of the NANA shareholders through the apprenticeship programs, ensuring that apprentices are exposed to a well-rounded work load
•    The incumbent will be required to fill in at other positions as determined
•    Provide input into budget preparation and controlling costs by providing equipment repair schedules and forecasting service life attainment beyond the current year
•    Establish Personal Goals & Objectives annually that align with Supervisor, Departmental and Property Goals and Objectives. (These require Supervisor approval and will be evaluated in regards to achievement during People Central coaching and mentoring review sessions
•    Contribute to the wellbeing of employees by participating in the organization, implementation and enforcement of site safety and hygiene programs
•    The incumbent is aware of the “Whistle Blower Policy” and has signed off and will adhere to the “Company’s Code of Ethics”
•    The incumbent fully understands the commitment required to effectively perform at this position, in order to achieve departmental goals
•    Support Safety & Health, Employee Development and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
•    Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•    Courageous Safety Leader
•    Industrial Journeyperson Millwright
•    Ten (10) years of heavy industrial maintenance and project management experience.
•    Three (3) years Maintenance Planning experience in an industrial setting 
•    Knowledge of MSHA Standards 
•    Intermediate skills and knowledge of computers utilizing Microsoft Office software 
•    Must have excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, with a willingness to train others 
•    Highly motivated team player, able to work closely with peers, supervisor and management
•    Intermediate skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheet, projects, word processing and presentation applications
•    Excellent problem solving skills and decision making abilities
•    Proven and exemplary leadership skills 
•    Possess good communication skills
