Reporting to the Mill Maintenance General Supervisor, the Scheduler will be responsible for the scheduling and coordinating of daily maintenance tasks in the crushing, grinding, flotation, filtering/drying, reclaim, and leaching areas of the milling complex. 

 

Responsibilities involve collaborating with the planning team to ensure maintenance strategies are effectively scheduled to uphold equipment health, reliability, and protection. This includes adhering to "Best Practice" scheduling standards and ensuring all necessary coordination of equipment and resources is accounted for.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Develop schedules for various electrical, instrument and HVAC teams. 
  • Verify the scope of work to be performed is accurately captured on work orders
  • Determine required schedule loads for each group. 
  • Identify health and safety risks for each task with required permitting
  • Coordinate and schedule all required resources, contractors and equipment to ensure the efficient execution of planned work. 
  • Confirm parts required for planned work is staged at a known location
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as work backlogs and schedule compliance to improve on maintenance efficiencies and availability

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/planning experience in a metallurgical processing plant or equivalent
  • Journeyperson's ticket, related technical diploma, or engineering degree, or a relevant combination of education and experience 
  • Understanding of planning and scheduling principles and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite® and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems 
  • Previous experience with IBM Maximo would be an asset
  • Must have Gr.12 or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Salary Range:  $105,000 - $129,000

 

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
