Reliability Engineer or Specialist

Reporting to the Senior Engineer Supervisor, the Reliability Engineer or Specialist is responsible for improving and maintaining the asset health program to improve equipment availability and reliability. You will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams at the plant, acting as the specialist on asset health, project delivery, and required predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Champion the processing reliability program
  • Perform inspections and analyze inspections reports to resolve equipment health and determine requirements for predictive maintenance
  • Identify and drive improvements to the predictive and preventative maintenance process, including data translation and analysis, report generating, and the improvement of preventative maintenance for all categories of equipment
  • Implement projects designed at delivering reliability improvements to the Process Plant
  • Coordinate with RACE21™ and other partners to incorporate new technologies in the asset health and maintenance program
  • Work in accordance with applicable government regulations and Teck standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Red seal trade certification, related technical diploma, or engineering degree
  • Minimum three years demonstrated ability as a reliability professional, in a processing environment
  • Demonstrated strong level of knowledge in maintenance and reliability principles and processes
  • An understanding of Condition Monitoring techniques, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Modes/Effects Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Ability to organize and interpret reliability data
  • Non Destructive testing methods experience is an asset
