Temporary Laborer - Port Rover (X4)

Reporting to the Port Operations Supervisor, the Temporary Laborer – Port Rover (X4) is responsible for daily conveyor inspections and clean up, barge tie-downs, providing breaks for all positions associated to shipment of concentrate, operates and assists with VAC truck operations, and other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Responsible for daily conveyor inspections, clean up and barge tie downs
  • Ability to relieve all positions associated to shipping concentrate
  • Operates and assists with VAC truck operation and clean up
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating and basic knowledge of equipment a benefit
  • Must be a team player and able to communicate well with others
  • Must be highly motivated and have ability to perform tasks with limited direction
  • Must have the ability to adhere to high safety standards
  • Must be able to work day, afternoon, or night shifts as required
  • Must be able to work outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions
  • Must be able to perform labor intensive work when required; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the trade
  • Driver’s license preferred
