Student Building Service Worker (4 month)

Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Building Service Worker is responsible for sanitizing facilities across the mine site. The successful applicant for this role will be returning to post-secondary education in the winter of 2021. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize facilities on site, including offices, lunch rooms, washrooms, change areas, hallways, handrails and entrances
  • Remove snow and mud from building entrances
  • Wash and buff the floors on a regular basis 
  • Perform other janitorial and labour duties as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent
  • Proof of attending a post-secondary institution in winter of 2021
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively within a constantly changing environment as well as having 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Previous Janitorial or labour experience would be considered an asset
